Sporting Pride & Bowling League of Ireland invite LGBTQ+ community mbrs to a Lawn Bowls Open Day & BBQ to try out this fun and social sport!

Taking place on Sat 7th May at 18:30, Sporting Pride and Bowling League of Ireland are offering LGBTQ+ community members the chance to learn how to play this fun and VERY SOCIAL sport of Lawn Bowling in Terenure Sports Club /Terenure CYM, followed by a few drinks and a mouth-watering BBQ!
Suitable for all ages and abilities, Lawn Bowls is a simple sport to get the hang of so, after a few minutes of basic coaching on the rules and techniques involved, you will be quickly playing some simple games, delivering a bowl and having lots of fun!
Lawn Bowls as a sport is very open and welcoming where you can socialise with team mates - and your opposition - over a drink...before, during and after your game! And the only piece of equipment you need is a pair of runners.
The €5 Open Day entry fee includes an hour of coaching/playing, plus a delicious BBQ consisting of BBQ Beef Burger served in a Brioche Bun, Gourmet Pork and Leek Sausage, Traditional Coleslaw, Potato Salad and Roast Pepper and Pasta Salad with Red Pesto. A vegetarian option will also be available.
This Open Day in the fantastic facilities of Terenure Sports Club/Terenure CYM (Eircode D6W XY13) is for all LGBTQ+ community members, their family, friends and work colleagues and any LGBTQ+ allies looking to try something new! It is also an opportunity for people to network with other members of the community in a warm, welcoming, friendly environment.
