As part of the FARE Network's Football People action weeks Sporting Pride hosted an event which brought together members of the LGBTQ+ community living in Direct Provision and Dublin's LGBTQ+ inclusive football teams for a day of fun, friendship and sport, all in the name of promoting inclusion and tackling discrimination in football. The team at Teach Solais in Galway are doing tremendous work to keep the LGBTQ+ community active and engaged throughout the year. A number of successful activities have been organised in recent times, all of which are highlighted below in our post from Helen, a Coordinator with Teach Solais.

Sporting Pride will endeavour to make sports a more welcoming environment for our community in a number of different ways, one of which is tackling homophobia in Irish sport and making the sporting environment a more inclusive and welcoming place for the LGBTQ+ community.
